IN TO THE LAP OF HIMALYAS, SHANTIKUNJ A HEAVEN

 

Have you ever visit a place where you could find yourself in the divine heaven, where you could really meet yourself, filled with positivity and a life time experience, where spirituality is explained in terms of science, where you have lived a part of life to learn the quality of life. If you haven’t, you must visit Shantikunj, a place of dreams, a place where there is no tension, only relaxation, calmness, nature and your combination is found. Welcome to the world of knowledge, enjoyment, and unity, welcome to this divine land. I will share my experience to you, what I saw there and what was its impact over me.

LOCATION

Shantikunj is situated near bank of river Ganges in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, in India. It is merely 7-8 km distance from Jwalapur railway station the main Railway station in Haridwar. Following it you will see the entire beauty of Haridwar with its huge temples, bridges on river Ganges and looks of mountains gives a very relaxing feel. Haridwar is situated in the lap of Himalayas, which is consider as dev bhoomi (land of God) and if you translate Haridwar in English it will be “gate of Lord”.

ENTRANCE

 As you entered in Shantikunj, you have to make an entrance note on the main gate with your id, passport and address proof, after that a I card batch is provided to you, and make you entrance, if you are coming from outside city you will always be dropped on Gate no 1. It takes approximately five minute to walk from entrance to main arena. This walk will not make you disturb as much greenery is planted both side of path and an upper shade is also provided. After that you will reach to the office and provide your details there to have a room. At same place you can provide any amount of donation and it is optional, not mandatory. And you journey begins from here. Keep in mind you should always have you card place on your front, that is provided to you on gate.

CHARAN PEETH (FOOT MARKS)

Charan peeth will be the first place that will drag your attention, after all registration formalities will be done. It is a beautiful monument that is having sign of foot marks of its founder Pt. Shri Ram Sharma Acharya, who was a saint, a philosopher and more than that he was a true God man, and influenced the humanity with preaching of life, morals, ethic, spirituality and science, and other foot prints are of his wife a divine soul the worshipped lady of many followers, Mata Bhagwati Devi Sharma.

 With that monument there is final Samadhi or where these saints took their last breath is placed on which holy lines of Gayatri Mantra is written. Followers visit this place and bow down on those foot marks everyday in their respect and to worship them. Whole place is so beautiful that you may want to sit for some moment there, in order to have positive vibes coming in for of blessings of saints.

     MUSIC CLASSES

After visiting Charan peeth you will move forward and really will be astonished to see the talented musical students. Yes they are little kids who use to learn different kind of musical instruments and classical singing. Moving every class forward you ears will feel so refreshing and soulful musical sounds that will blow your mind and your foot will automatically stop.

MAA BHAGWATI BHOJNALAYA (FOOD POINT)

Moving forward music classes and after so many journey and registration work appetite will must clench your gut. No worry, more and more food is available here and the best thing is it is for free every time. It is approximately 3000 people everyday eat food here. And during festival days it extends up to 10000 per day. Food is so tasty and exotic you will get that will enrich you body with real vitamins that it needs. Best part of this food place is you can also provide your service to pilgrims who visit here. You sweep the floor; distribute food, and many contributions you can provide.  Believe me it will refresh you and your heart will be so glad after doing work here once a time.

LUXURY FOOD CANTEEN

Side by food place there is also a luxury food canteen where you can have bakery products, ice creams, kulfi, wafers, pastries, idli, custard and different Indian cuisines. But here you will have to pay, don’t worry it would be so cheap.  The best part of the place everything is pure vegetarian, even bakery products are made eggless.

HERBS GARDEN

Yes this place is situated just right side of the food place in the form of  a visiting garden but the plants are planted here are from different parts of country and actually many of these herbs plants are so rare to find out. The aromatic smell of these plants refresh mind.

DEVATMA HIMALAYA

The word devatma means souls, spirits of divine. This is situated in front opposite to food place. Meditation is the essence of life it is a medicine that everybody needs all life. The source of energy is presented in you; all you have to do is just search and wake it up. Devatma Himalaya is place for meditation; it is one of the calmest, cool, silenced, and relaxing places where you just have to enter and meditate. Keep in mind you could not utter any if why here or any word just come sit close you eyes and talk to you mind and heart to enlighten your soul. 

Outside this place same kinds of garden is situated but here you will found apple and orange trees too, beautiful flowers, colourful lights in a big fountain when gives sprinkles of water showers on faces it will make your day. Entering there you will have to be bare foot as pavements are made something different for acupressure. And following same gallery of meditation hall there is also a beautiful picture library.

OTHER PLACES

There are many other places in Shantikunj like herbs store, worshipping products, book stalls, ritual hall, different gardens, and marriage hall.

   So this was a very little picture I have tried to present you all, and it is my request if you could do so please visit this place you will never have been in place. All at the end I could just say after a visit there that, this place is really a divine heaven. Come here once and meet yourself.
